RECREATIONAL
RESPITES

RESPITES.

JSSOF develops, funds, and conducts a variety of respites to provide a brief relief to the stresses of combat deployments and worldwide operations. Most of our activities include Veterans of the Special Operations Community to promote enduring solidarity for by having personnel who have the personal understanding of the pressures our current Special Operation Forces face.

JSSOF sponsors 60 Active-Duty Special Operations Soldiers and their families, 4 Gold Star Family Members, and 10 Veterans for a week of skiing, dog sledding, snowmobiling, hatchet throwing, feasting, and firepits. This event is attended by 60 to 80 Veterans who fund their own travel, lodging, meals, and activities.
